Before going for JOUR1111's first lecture, I was just simply not looking forward to attending the lecture. Don’t get me wrong; I’m interested in Journalism. It’s just the thought of attending lectures that turns me off. Went in expecting some boring dry class but it’s safe to say I was pleasantly proved wrong.
The lecture kicked off with tons of quotes about journalism or by journalists. Some of these quotes were really inspirational and made the lesson much more interesting right from the very start. In a way, they caught my attention right away and made me pay attention. Basically the whole lecture was an overview about the course, what to expect, assessments and lessons structure. And then it all ended.
Bottom line? Went in feeling mildly bored about the whole thing and came out feeling interestingly invigorated and ready to tackle the course.
